Navy SEAL Museum Chosen Beneficiary for 11th Annual Wheels & Keels Event
Fort Pierce, Fla. – April 20, 2022 – The Navy SEAL Museum is grateful to be a chosen beneficiary of Wheels & Keels of Vero Beach for another year. The 11th Annual charity fundraising event will take place this weekend, April 22 and 23, at the Moorings Yacht Club in Vero Beach, Florida.
“The Museum is successful because of our neighbors and partners like Wheels & Keels,” said Museum Executive Director, Commander (SEAL) Grant Mann, USN (Ret). “The Moorings community and Wheels & Keels committee continue to welcome the Museum as friends and support our mission with great enthusiasm.”
Friday, April 22 opens the weekend with a sold-out cocktail reception and dinner. Advance preview of auction items is available before the live auction takes place, featuring unique weaponry, private luxury cruises, and other specialty offerings.
Saturday, April 23 features the car show at the Moorings’ Pete Dye Signature Golf Course overlooking the Indian River Lagoon. Guests will enjoy exotic and antique cars on the golf course, as well as boats and yachts moored at the docks. A buffet lunch will be served on the Country Club veranda. Prizes will be awarded for best-in class car and boat awards will be presented.
“As we embark on our second decade of fundraising efforts for the benefit of Treasure Coast charities, Wheels & Keels Foundation is proud of its many years of financial support for the Navy SEAL Museum’s Trident House Charities Program,” shared Kathleen Canal on behalf of the Wheels & Keels Foundation Inc. Officers and Board of Directors. “Our donations to the Trident House Charities Program for the families of the Special Operations community actively honors those who selflessly serve our country and the families of the warriors who have made the ultimate sacrifice.”
While the Friday event is sold out, guests are welcome to attend Saturday’s outdoor event. For more information, visit www.wkvero.com.
About The Trident House Charities Program
The Trident House Charities Program is the heart of the Navy SEAL Museum’s mission, serving the families of Naval Special Warfare. Comprised of four pillars–a respite house in Fort Pierce, Florida; the Scholarship Program for the private and higher education of children of Special Operators; the K9 Project for the donation of working dogs; and Direct Family Support to fill in gaps beyond Federal support– the Trident House Charities Program is funded by the generous contributions of donors who care for those who have served, those who continue to protect our country, and for the families who have lost loved ones to combat or related training.
About The Navy SEAL Museum
The National Navy UDT-SEAL Museum is the only museum dedicated solely to preserving the history of the U.S. Navy SEALs and their predecessors. Located in Fort Pierce, Florida, the Museum resides on the training grounds of the original Navy combat divers, the Frogmen. Built to honor the men who served with fortitude and ingenuity, the Navy UDT-SEAL Museum first opened its doors on Veterans Day in 1985. From humble beginnings, the facility has experienced tremendous growth, achieving national stature in 2007. The main objective of the Museum remains the promotion of public education by providing the opportunity to explore the history of the Navy SEALs through interactive exhibits, while honoring the fallen at the SEAL Memorial and caring for those warriors’ families through Trident House Charities Program.
