Captain (SEAL) Todd Perry, USN (Ret.)
Navy SEAL Xperience San Diego Executive Director
Captain (SEAL) Todd Perry, USN (Ret)
Todd is from Escondido, CA, and enlisted in the Navy in April 1982. Upon graduation from BUD/S Class 123, MMFN Perry reported to SEAL Team THREE as a Plank Owner, completing two WESTPAC deployments before reporting to SEAL Team SIX in 1987.
In 1997 Senior Chief Perry was commissioned and retired after 40 years of active-duty Naval Special Warfare (NSW) service in May 2022. His sea tours have been at SEAL Team ONE, THREE and EIGHT, Naval Special Warfare Unit TWO in Germany, and 18 years at SEAL Team SIX. He has conducted over 20 operational deployments to Asia, Europe, Africa, and Central America, with the majority in support of Afghanistan or Iraq combat operations.
His three Command Tours included Advanced Training Command; CDR, Combined Joint Special Operation Task Force – Iraq (CJSOTF-I 19-2), and his final command at NSW Leadership Education and Development (NLEAD) until retirement. CAPT Perry received the Legion of Merit (x2), Bronze Star (x5), Purple Heart and dozens of other personal, campaign and service awards during his career.
During these 40+ years in the U.S. Navy–and entire 39+ years in NSW–Todd’s wife Jackie has been along for the full ride, raising three great kids during Todd’s lengthy absences. Todd is now proudly serving as the Executive Director of the Navy SEAL Xperience; he and Jackie are excited to see the long-overdue NSX brought to their hometown of San Diego.

Black Navy SEAL Trident Flag, Signed by Special Operators in Attendance
This custom Naval Special Warfare flag has been signed by elite warriors of the Special Operations community in support of the Museum’s Trident House Charities Program.
The Trident is officially known as “Special Warfare insignia.” Its common popular nickname is “The Budweiser.” Recognizing the members of the United States Navy who have completed Basic Underwater Demolition/SEAL (BUD/S) training, completed SEAL Qualification Training (SQT), and have been officially designated as U.S. Navy SEALs, the Trident is one of the most recognizable insignias of the U.S. Navy.
Established on 16 October 1970, the Trident was initially issued in two grades: gold for officers and silver for enlisted men. Following the abolishment of the Silver Star insignia in 1978, the Trident was issued thereafter. The SEAL insignia is unusual in the Navy being as it is one of the very few breast insignia issued identically for both officers and enlisted personnel. This is partly due to the combined training both officers and enlisted receive, side by side, while in BUD/S training.

Out of the Deep
About The Artist
Ingrid Edelmann
I come from a long line of artists. My great uncle uncovered and restored a lost Rafael’s Madonna at the turn of the 20th century at the Prague Academy of Art. My father was one of the earliest member-contributors to the Warsaw International Poster Biennale. I continue in that tradition. My love of art has moved me from multi-media (canvas and glass) to photographic/mixed media expression.
My most recent projects have included a contract for the largest hotel chain on the Hawaiian Islands, a permanent installation at a Seattle, WA boutique architecture firm, as well as the historic Admiral Theatre in West Seattle, Washington. In addition, private collectors hold my work from coast to coast, Canada and abroad.
This year I am donating to the National Navy SEAL Museum’s auction a piece that was inspired by a photograph of Frogmen surfacing from the water. Initially I had intended to name it “Out of the Blue” but upon reflection it was aptly titled “Out of the Deep.” Frogmen seldom have the luxury of blue waters, and they mainly operate in darkness. This piece has another yet more subtle meaning as we all surface now out from under the global pandemic and seek to restore normalcy in our lives. This piece is both a work honoring our very bravest and all of us who support and work in our great nation doing our very best each and every day.
In my spare time, my husband and I enjoy the wonders of the Pacific Northwest. We love to hike and explore the natural beauty all around us. Our 75 lb. labradoodle Loki is usually the park ranger making sure that we are not bothered by pesky squirrels or other critters when we go exploring. When not outdoors, I also teach at the local community college. I am grateful to our brave Frogmen and feel blessed to have a wonderful husband who retired from the Teams in 1998 to share my life with.

The team from the National Navy SEAL Museum personally hand-picked this bottle of Jack Daniel’s Single Barrel Select for you. It is our pleasure and honor to carry on the tradition of the Navy SEAL Master Chief who purchased the first Navy SEAL Barrel in 2005 but later died in combat on August 6, 2011.
Please toast to him and to all the members of the United States Armed Forces.
“The Deed is All, Not the Glory.”

Half Face Blades
Half Face Blades was founded by Andrew Arrabito, a retired Navy SEAL, to meet the need for high-quality, go-to knives and axes–usable, personalized, functional, versatile tools that work for every person in every walk of life.
Andrew grew up hunting, camping, and fishing in the great outdoors. After high school he joined the US Navy, determined to achieve the honor of serving in the United States Navy SEAL Teams. It was during his time in the Teams that Andrew decided to bring the “end user” back to the beginning, to learn blade-smithing.
From the beginning, Andrew’s goal was to make simple blade designs for consumers who demand the finest products. With his real-world experience in using cutting devices in super-charged action, Andrew understands what will be demanded from his blades. And he makes them to meet those demands.
Half Face Blades knives are designed with the distinction and ruggedness required for the work they are intended to do. Each knife is calculated to meet requirements gained by experience, by testing knives and axes, by using them over time at sea and in remote wildernesses.
HFB knives bring the soul of rugged, dependable, combat knives and tools to a variety of settings – from special operations tools for warriors, hunters, and backpackers, to knives for the kitchen and great American workers.
“I wanted each person to have a usable tool, embodied with a warrior’s spirit, that will perform to their needs during their walk in life.”
Because we at HFB believe in giving back to those who have gone before us, those who have given their lives for a greater purpose, we support associated charities and foundations in their fundraising efforts.
