Trident House Charities Programs
Support Special Operations Forces & Their Families
The main objective of the Navy SEAL Museum is to promote public education by providing the opportunity to explore the history of the Navy SEALs through interactive exhibits, while honoring the fallen at the SEAL Memorial and caring for those warriors’ families through the Trident House Charities Program.
We provide care by way of Family Support for additional medical needs not covered by Federal funding, The Scholarship Program for children of the Special Operations community, the Trident House respite home, and the Canine Project for veterans.
The Scholarship Program
College tuition scholarships are awarded to children of U.S. Special Operations Forces members. The sacrifices our Special Operations Forces families make are immeasurable. The Navy SEAL Museum is humbled to have committed partners who come alongside our families and help support the higher education of these kids through our Trident House Charities Scholarship Program.
Scholarships are awarded on an annual basis, based on merit and academic achievement. Grade point average, SAT scores, class ranking, extracurricular activity involvement, leadership positions held, military service record, and employment, as appropriate, determine merit. Multiple scholarships of various dollar amounts are awarded annually through an extensive application process.
Whether a corporate or individual sponsor, you can be assured that every dime you donate will go directly to fund the tuition of a Special Operations Forces child. All contributions are 100% tax deductible.
The Museum is pleased to announce The Marlee Foundation has awarded more than $85,000 in scholarships to graduating high school students of Special Operations Forces bound for college and trade or technical school for the 2018-2019 academic year. We are honored to help facilitate the generous outreach of Mr. William Hale, President of The Marlee Foundation.A list of the 2018-2019 scholarship recipients is found here 2018 Scholarship Awards

Family Support
Family support is no small feat. The needs of active duty and veterans and their families are varied, from medical and dental expenses to academic and domestic expenditures. Our program ensures funding to families who need it most, filling in the gaps where Federal funding is not available.
Trident House
The National Navy SEAL Museum and Memorial Trident House is a tranquil waterfront residence located directly along the beautiful Indian River, in Sebastian, Florida. The lovely home serves as a critical and complimentary respite for the families of U.S. Navy SEALs who were killed in the Line of Duty (LoD). It is also available to battle worn or injured SEALs and their families, as well as to other military personnel with similar needs. If you, or someone you know, is interested in staying at the Trident House, please contact the Museum for eligibility and availability.
The fully equipped, three bedroom three bath retreat has an outdoor swimming pool and dock. Guests can view colorful sunrises, dolphin and pelicans soaring by from the covered back porch. As you may imagine, this serene environment is a powerful de-stressor and is highly conducive to the process of reconnecting fragile relationships.
In November of 2012, The Trident House hosted its first family with a very heavy heart. The family had very recently lost their son, who was a U.S. Navy SEAL. He was fighting in the global war against terror in Afghanistan and fighting against the same extended group of extremists who took responsibility for 9/11, an event that changed the way we all live our lives. He was fighting there, so that an event such as 9/11 never happens again…here!
After a long day of travel, the family arrived at the Trident House. They immediately took comfort in the private waterfront setting. During their stay, they attended our annual Muster event and received a personal tour of the Navy SEAL Museum and Memorial in Fort Pierce, Florida, which is about a 30 minute drive from the Trident House. The last event of their journey was attending the Memorial service for their son, whose name was recently engraved into the black granite walls of the Navy SEAL Memorial.
After the emotional ceremony, their spirits began to lift in the knowledge that the community truly cares. They also found comfort in knowing that their son’s legacy and sacrifice will always be honored at the Navy SEAL Museum and Memorial. In parting, they all commented about how wonderful their stay was in the Trident House and that they plan to return to the Memorial as often as possible.
The National Navy SEAL Museum, Memorial and Trident House are not federally funded. We rely on the generous contributions of our patriotic and grateful supporters like you, to continue our mission of preserving Naval Special Warfare history, honoring our fallen at the SEAL Memorial and caring for those warriors and families through the Trident House.
We are a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization. Your support is needed, appreciated, and makes a difference! For questions or contributions, please contact the National Navy SEAL Museum
The Canine Project
Partnering with Baden K-9 in Ontario, Canada, with the generous support of dedicated donors, the Navy SEAL Museum has donated multiple working dogs to veterans of the Special Operations community. This unique program creates an effective platform to help veterans assimilate back into civilian life by facilitating a special relationship between man and dog. The bond between elite operator and elite canine provides the structure and fellowship many veterans require to find their purpose in the civilian world, something they often feel is missing after leaving years of training and combat behind.
Renewal Coalition
Now in partnership with Renewal Coalition, the Trident House Charities Program works with their team in South Florida to provide additional resources for the Special Operations Forces community. Together with Renewal Coalition, a 501(c)3 organization, the Trident House Charities Program supports retreats and respite homes for wounded service members and their families in their transition from military to civilian life or for the return to active duty.
