Run or walk one of the most beautiful beaches on Florida’s east coast–on the sacred ground where the forerunners to today’s Navy SEALs trained for Normandy. The 3.1-mile course starts on the lawn on the north side of the Museum, runs south down the beach, and returns to the finish on Museum property at the starting line.
The race will start and finish on Navy SEAL Museum property on the north lawn at the Mark V Special Operations Craft. Come test your mettle on our beach course before finishing at this historic artifact.
The rising or receding tide along the beach course adds potential surprises and challenges!
The Birthplace of Naval Special Warfare: The Museum tells the story of the Frogman from the beginning of Naval Special Warfare. The deeds and actions of the predecessors of today’s Navy SEALs established the benchmarks against which military Special Operations are measured today. Born on the beaches where the Navy SEAL Museum stands today in Fort Pierce, Naval Special Warfare produced tightly knit groups of men who trained for war and took their skillset and determination around the world with one goal in mind: “Win at any cost.” They cleared the way for others to follow, doing so for the love of their teammates and their country. Today’s SEALs continue keeping constant vigil around the globe to secure our freedom.
While you do not have to “win at any cost”, we encourage you to show your love for your country by wearing your most patriotic athletic gear in honor and support of our veterans everywhere.
Registration: $30 through Friday, November 1st, $40 thereafter.
Veterans, active duty military and first responders: $20 through November 1st.
Pre-race Packet Pick Up will be Friday, November 1st from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the Museum. You may also pick up your bib the morning of the event between 6:00 AM and 7:30 AM at the tent on the north side of the Museum. The race begins promptly at 8:00 AM on Museum property on the north lawn. All runners must be at the start NO LATER than 7:45 AM. Per county rules and regulations, dogs are not allowed on the beach. We regret that you cannot run with your dog for this event and apologize for any inconvenience. Due to the presence of military working dogs, outside animals are not permitted on Museum grounds, with the sole exception of documented service animals. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
